It’s depressing to think that after hundreds of years of advancement, on a day we’ve discovered a brand new way of looking at the universe (gravitational waves), we’re still, collectively as a species, capable of perpetrating the types of violence that wouldn’t seem out of place in the Dark Ages.

We will do whatever we like.

Ehh. As someone trained as an economist, that usually isn’t the case. In war, you make products that can’t be used for any sort of useful work. In the case of missiles, you make a million dollar unmanned airplane and crash it into the ground. Economically, you would be better off paying people to dig holes and fill

You know, it’s entirely possible to believe Assad is a thug who shouldn’t be leading a country AND also believe that ISIS and the FSA are horrible terrorists who need to be destroyed.

Yeah that was a pretty medvedecious statement.

But that’s their whole schtick!

Go home Russia, you’re drunk.

Consider the accuracy of Russian navigational systems, I’m not so sure how accurate Russian sources are on this story.

They’re called kneeboards(afaik, someone correct me if I’m wrong on the terminology,) and they’re usually used for maps or operational procedures. If you look at a picture of a flight suit, there’s velcro areas on the thighs just above the knees.

Every year one of their planes has a heritage paint scheme.I Googled CF 18 heritage paint scheme and found these.

We don’t know how to stop! It’s Phantom time:

Oh my sweet lord those Hornet picture are amazing. I totally would buy that last one as a big print.

Amazing! I’m waiting for the F/A-18 and F-14 DCS modules to be released.

More RAF and RN!

Shit’s otherworldly...

Battle of Britain anniversary livery. Check out a similar one on this Typhoon:

It was an ANG Eagle from Oregon that, when Obama was in Seattle, broke the sound barrier to intercept an unknown aircraft that turned out to be an unaware seaplane.

Finland has been the victim of realpolitik and geography.

uh, yeah, you actually do move a plane that way... at least that's what they taught me in flight school.
