In what world do you think the Feds will ever do that?
In what world do you think the Feds will ever do that?
What sithole do you live in? What has it done for the world in comparison?
Then why not use Californias rules since they invented the whole idea... make that the official standard, which it is by default right now.
Your are argument is that since California changed the world for the better we no longer need it?
What reduces emissions better than less fuel burned?
California is the responsible parent looking out for people.
Uh... cars are far more powerful than ever and cleaner as well... full combustion makes power. Also cars are more reliable since carbs are out of style.
And that purchasing power and population makes up, just a tiny bit, for the fact that Wyoming, where basically nobody lives, has the same number of senators.
Most of rural Tennessee doesn’t smog test... in 2017.
True, people are generally horrible at planning and decisions making, fuel won’t be cheap forever.
CA will win anyway, if the standards go they’ll simply issue a vehicle purchase tax that is refundable if the vehicle meets X standard.
You think Wyoming, the Dakotas, etc. would have ever passed environmental rules? That’s laughable.
Which happened before 1969... when Warrne was on the court
That’s not true, they lead the way for the world market. It’s weird that you think the Feds would have taken these actions.
It’s weird that you don’t realize that without California leading the way our environmental problems would be just as bad as the emerging markets.
This...
Should we abolish the state legislatures? Putting more power in the hands of the Feds will guarantee nothing will get done.
California lead the world in banning leaded gas, asbestos, chemical pollutants, fuel economy, seatbelts, airbags, advanced gas station pumps, co2, renewable energy, ditching coal, water conservation, food safety, animal husbandry standards, lead paint, energy efficiency, recycling tech/requirements, colleges for all…
What waste? the billions of barrels of fuel saved has increased US energy independence, carbon emissions, and health effects including asthma... which costs a lot to fix.
Two million auto sales, an eighth of us totals, in California alone, add the other CA complaint states and that’s a shit ton of cars. It would be stupid to skip that market... especially since the majority would continue.
