Possibly. I could see it either way. She said they were both turning right and there were people in the road. I could see Tracy swinging wide to get around people in the crosswalk as he turned and hitting her as she was also turning. I see that sort of thing all the time, except the accident part.

I don’t see anything indicating it’s not either. There are cars lined up behind them that would be covering any road markings.

Not really. Watch the video posted on twitter. The back of his car is about in line with the curb of the road they’re turning onto, and he had barely began to turn.

$2 million isn’t nearly as much to Tracy Morgan as it is to you.

It’s amazing how few people have ever encountered or even heard of double turn lanes.

“I don’t think you know enough about the details of this accident.”

still can’t tell from that photo if her lane is a turn lane. Double turn lanes are a thing, especially in cities.

It’s amazing how few jalops have never encountered double turn lanes.

where is it confirmed her lane wasn’t also a right turning lane?

Actually she could be correct. If they’re both in turning lanes, then Tracy has clearly made a bad turn based on where the cars are sitting in the intersection on the video. He is way beyond the curb into the intersection and has barely moved to the right. If they’re both in right turning lanes, he’s basically drifted

They’ll just cancel your policy instead.

ever heard of double turn lanes? They’re everywhere.

double turn lanes: if that’s the case, he moves way out of his own turn lane into hers.

If both lanes are right turn, Tracy is at fault. He’s way out into the intersection and had barely moved to the right.

Wait, does that mean in any accident, no matter who’s at fault, each insurance company pays for their insured person’s damages?? That’s as dumb as mandatory gas pumping employees!

If both lanes are right turn, Tracy is in the wrong. You can see how far out into the intersection his car is, but he’s barely began to turn right. If they’re both in turn lanes, she would be assuming he would be properly turning into the right most lane of the road they’re turning onto, and she into the one next to

Going by his full comment and not a snippet of it to be a jerk, I agree. I wouldn’t want to drive that car through Manhattan. Especially if maybe my experience driving such cars was limited.

So should people who are planning to buy a car within the next year consider buying sooner than later?

I don’t consider my car purchase as feeding Tesla cash since it’s better than standards. It’s the giant trucks and SUVs paying Tesla.

Yep, something like that but I’d go a bit smaller and better gas mileage. Even EV would be great. But I’d still like to get at least a 4x8 sheet of plywood or sheet rock in the back with a bed extender when needed.
