Not necessarily. Despite supporting Trump, I believe enough of them could just be lazy and not vote on election day, or not be willing to wait in line. But if they have another rallying cry like “lock her up” it’ll push them out to vote.
Because if we’re lucky and they don’t have anything stirring them up too much, maybe enough of them will be lazy on election day. An impeachment is just the kind of lightning rod Trump needs to get them out to vote, like “lock her up” did.
Because the more he can run around painting himself as a victim, the more likely his people will get off their butts on election day and vote. If they don’t have anything stirring them up, they may not bother.
His base. The same people that screamed for proof Obama was a citizen even after he gave proof will always take Trump at his word. And even if proof is shown, he’ll shout “fake news!” and they’ll believe it. This has been proven many times.
