While i think everyone knows how to pronounce it properly. Ive always felt I come across as a douche when I say “Porscha.” so much so that my friends make fun of me for pronouncing it the right way.

Its sad to see how ignorant people are

When Isee some of these comments it makes me feel as if I stepped on the short bus by mistake.

Ten million as opposed to the 150 that stalin had.......

Yes, but if historians seek to get first hand information, don’t you think that in the communist country they are getting that information it will be construed, considering that if the people who live their talk poorly about their government they get in trouble. Just because someone has a degree in history does not

So then if historians never seek out to interview and gain first hand knowledge from the people who were present at the time, where do they get their information? Do they get it from the reports that (in this instance) Cuba has published? Besides this, if it were to come down to Historians vs people who actually lived

No, the people who can evaluate it better than any “educated professional” is someone who has lived through it, someone who has had family go through it. A historian can only give you a second hand view of what happened. They weren’t there for the events, they didn’t experience the atrocities.

Yeah, they consider him far worse, but stayed in Cuba while Batista was in power but left once Fidel came into power.... but your right! And of course they are able to prosper, instead of buying one loaf of bread they can buy 2! If you honestly think that how they are today is prospering than I don’t know what else to

Its common knowledge that Batista was bad, but to say that he was worse that Fidel is ridiculous. But I imagine you also thing Che was a great person too right? If you say that Fidel was better than why did he worsen the country? Why did the poverty levels grow? Why did absolutely no one prosper but himself? Batista

Obviously the U.S. didn’t want Fidel in power because of business. For you to say that Fidel is better than Bautista it idiotic. He killed thousands of people, or were you not aware of that? Cuba would have never been able to modernize its economy decades ago. The reason why their economy is so fucked now is

Great back up bud!

BRAVO! Im glad you said it. People are to ignorant to see the truth.

Even if America removes the embargo, cuba will never prosper. Ill have you know how it works over there. If a business is run there, the wages of the employees are paid to the government and then the government decides how much the employees get paid... ($20 a month). If the embargo is lifted, Raul and his minions

Castro was relatively weak? I didn’t know killing people was weak. I didn’t know stealing from everyone was weak. I didn’t know forcing those who were business owners which who did not agree with you to the sugarcane fields to work like a dog. I didn’t know killing gays and politicians was weak. Educate yourself

They should throw his ashes in a bag of horseshit and burn it.

While I agree that what he did was wrong and that no one should go that fast on the street. Whats done is done. Its just paying respect. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and some may disagree with that. Nothing wrong with that!

I think Rodger Rodas deserves a shout out as well.... considering he was a car guy. He was not as influential as paul walker or evil knievel, but that doesn’t take away that he was a fellow car guy, and he deserves the same respect.

Oh yeah, my original response was sarcastic and without substance. I saw you replied to my other response before. I don’t think many people know about the wage situation. American’s would have to pay up the ass, but everyone thinks they would be able to pay at the rate that the Cubans get paid. I wasn’t aware they had

I don’t think that comparison is a fair one. The reason they have the phones and computers are because their relatives give it to them from Miami to keep in contact (I know, we still have family over there). The problem isn’t these small gadgets. But rather large ticket items, like a car for instance. A Peugeot which

I was being sarcastic in a way. The reason that that the labor is so cheap is because companies have to pay the “wages” to the government and then the government pays the people. The government, or better put, dictatorship, would never allow for a minimum wage, because that would mean less money in their pocket. I
