I do not believe those are similar struggles at all. Someone suffering from substance abuse is not the same as wanting to harm a child. I don’t know what to tell you if you can’t see that. I hope you are never around children.

I think a better use of one’s time would be spent helping victims. I try to be open minded & I get that Allyn Walker is saying these people don't want to hurt kids but I just don’t think it should be a struggle to not harm children, sorry. 

This is one of the many reasons why I couldn’t be a public figure overall, I would simply reply: ‘How come you’re asking me? I only worked with him in one movie!' But alas, I get that wouldn’t be diplomatic to say. Keeping up a facade must be exhausting.

Mannnnnn this is nuts and my heart also breaks for that poor girl in Florida. If any profession attracts people with the wrong intent I believe maintenance work might be one. It’s just too much exposure and access.

I grew up with parents like Claudia’s. My mother died in 2016 and I still have to deal with everyone telling me what a great and powerful woman and mother she was. I can’t snark on this. Claudia sounds like she needs support and for whatever reason she isn’t getting it. I don’t think it helps that unlike other teenagers, her social media feed gets injected straight into the mass media aquarium.

It astonishes me how badly us lefties are at this type of stuff. As has been pointed out by folks far more clever than I, this is something that the righties are super good at; they find an easy to remember and repeat slogan and they FUCKING HAMMER IT until their base hears it in their dreams.

When I hear ‘defund’ it says to me zero dollars whatsoever toward policing because ‘defund’ has been sloganed by anti-choice nutjobs to mean that organizations like Planned Parenthood must close and receive no federal funding for anything, ever.

The most fucked up part of this whole faux-representation bullshtick is that when you actually step back and look at it, you’re basically saying you are incapable of enjoying movies as fiction, you need the added bonus of real life trauma as experienced by the actors otherwise you won’t like the film.
