No pleasing some people, I suppose.

Well, Power Twink over here has some serious anatomical problems with his chest region, but A for effort, I guess. Reminds me of overhearing some ladies talking this weekend about how they wished they had dicks of their own that they could keep in a pouch on the inside, so it wouldn't get in the way.

I home the X in Distress thing goes away. I want the heroes to just walk away and leave their friends and loved ones to die because, hey, they should be smart/strong/clever enough to take care of themselves, and if they can't do it, they are just dead weight anyway.

Oh, wait...that's how a sociopath thinks.

BEHOLD! I give you...subtlety.

Art targeted to women...*cough* Look up yaoi and then come back here with that particularly weak argument.

The entire point of humor, arguably the reason why it exists, even, is to transgress societal norms, to hold up a mirror to life and see both absurdity and truth, because they aren't mutually exclusive. That's why the joke worked so well.

It's empowerment through disempowerment. By screaming loud enough, long enough, people think they will get attention. It's not really about rights or representation, which is evidenced by the lack of production from anything in the SJW court, it's about them feeling relevant. "I want to be represented everywhere!"

So under what criteria are you defining poor taste? There is, I think, a difference between poor taste and, say, something that isn't to your personal taste, and it's perfectly fine if you have bad taste.

Poor taste is making dead baby jokes after your sister has a still birth. Unless there is a reason why, I can't

I don't think the joke was in poor taste. The reason for this is fairly simple: the word rape in a joke does not make it be in poor taste. Might it be a stressor (proper word, not trigger)? Sure, but it is up to an individual to deal with their exposure to things in a public space, especially if that space is some

Nothing is ever good enough for the SJW crowd.
"Wah, you don't represent us!"

"Okay, here's some space special for you guys so you can do your thing, because you asked for it."

"NO! Now we're being looked at! STOP LOOKING AT US WITH YOUR OPPRESSIVE EYES, SHITLORD!"

"So...what can I do?"

"NOTHING!"

"O...k? Then I guess

Oh, right...and you know who else wears functional "heels"? Chell. Suck it.

One word: Raiden.

Seriously...calm your tits.

I thought it was an ad for Jezebel.

Except she has no dramatic foil. She's not really had an arc. She's even less dynamic than Superman, which is staggeringly hard to do. The Azarello run is good, but feels a lot like a mash-up of God of War and Scion, so...kudos for doin' it but ain't nothin' that ain't been done before.

If you like her, that's cool,

I would only ever play Tsuna and Hiei.

Well, as long as we're being rational...

The question (and it was a question) was why hadn't someone punched her in the face? Which, to be fair, would be a bad idea. Not because she isn't a horrible human being, because she is, but because it would give further credence to her notion of victimhood. You notice how

You are correct, it doesn't make it go away, but by limiting exposure, you limit the influence. If you choose not to walk away, you have to take a degree of responsibility for your choosing to stay. You are, on some level, opting for fight instead of flight.

So...while I feel your points are well founded, there are some things you seem to be missing.

In regards to PTSD from repeated verbal abuse...This is a very real thing, and very bad, however in the instance that we are referring to (that being gaming) there is the very real, very viable option of walking away. One has
