Bruh, that taillight connection is sending standard voltages to turn the lights on or off. The supplied voltage is 0 when off, and some number when on. Given that these are LEDs, it might not be 12, so you could have to wire in a 12v source with fuse and a relay for this, but replacing it all is totally doable.
