@Monolith: Warhawk still has an online community going strong after two and a half years of release.

@Archaotic: I'll have to hit-up GAF. GAF rules.
@Comatose Turtle: Every market leader is most vulnerable during the transition into the next console generation.
@The Cap'n: What's weird is that, prior to the PS3, Sony used to have a lot of pretty cool ads for the Playstation brand.
@ryoshi: Yeah, Just Cause 2 is insane. Get it from Amazon and use the $15 online credit towards GOW III. Problem solved.
@waclark57: It is. But it's great and worth including. I used to be a big time film snob and would diss TV shows out of spite.
@Str8_Jihadin: And to top it all off, release-day delivery makes Tuesdays all the more enjoyable!
Nope. Amazon release-day delivery for me.
Oh, lord. These early impressions are unspectacular. I know Sony's R&D team has been working on the tech for years, but this is just... ugh.
Some good selections on the list.
I guess it's not that bad when you break it down over the years of development... but yes, $44 million is a lot of bones.
@staySICK: Exactly.
@Rod_Z: Thanks, dude.
@herogear: Same here. I like open-world games and have had a lot of fun with them... but certain games — the God of War series in particular — demand an experience that is highly authored by the developers.
@Archaotic: Yeah, I thought the Kevin Sorbo cameo was a stroke of genius, not unlike Harry Hamlin in GOW II playing Perseus.
@mr_godot: Indeed, sir. Indeed.
Thank you, Stephen, for the nice write-up. More importantly, thank you for taking a stand for highly authored, tightly paced, linear video games.
@SG79: Oh yeah, I forgot about that video. Thanks for the great reminder!
@Duin: I also think it's a brilliant cameo which seems to be on par with having Harry Hamlin voice Perseus in GOW II.
What a beast of a console... still have my launch-era fatty to this day.
