@wtffbryan: Yeah, personally, I found BF:BC2 to be just a ton of fun. The sound design alone adds so much immersion to the experience. When I first started playing the PS3 beta, I actually found combat to be a little nerve-wracking because of the intense, realistic sound design. I also love how the soliders —

@wtffbryan: They will in terms of game play.

@Bard of Awen: I have to say, I am very FUCKING impressed by your list. Detailed in your analysis, but without sensationalism. Well done, old boy.

@MrBounce: FF13 might also be the fastest selling PS3 game in a 24-hour period in any country thus far. Of course, I say this having no empirical evidence... just a weak-ass guesstimate.

@Sharkey1337: Yeah, I thought BFBC2 was just amazing. The sound design is brilliant, and I love the way your allies (in-game) shout out commands, cries for help, enemy locations — it lends a terrific sense of authenticity to the game world.

Wow! I loved that PS2 ad! I had never seen it before.

@K-bl4stzer0: You're probably on to something here. But biggest in only sales; I'm going to take any "critical" acclaim for Reach with a grain of salt.

@Archaotic: A brawler? I thought Yakuza 3 was an open-world game? Am I wrong? (As you can tell, I know precious little about the game).

Great, now hundreds of people named Miles Dyson are gonna be running for the hills. Thanks, Luke.

@BinaryReaver: Yeah, I don't get the March release... aside from March being the end of the fiscal year.

@Mayor Wilkins: Certainly. But your experience is largely anecdotal, no? I mean, didn't most people buy ODST because it's a Halo game and not because of the involvement of Nathan Fillion (or any other actor) ?

@Toasticus: I think you and Purple Dave have hit the nail.

@Purple Dave: I think you've summed up the situation perfectly. As great as it was to hear Sam Jackson and James Woods in GTA San Andreas, their involvement with the game was not a catalyst its sales.

@nrXic: Ah, I see. Noted for future reference (the use of the "*" and not that you're an elitist prick :)

@nrXic: Wow. What is your problem?

@Tre_Green: They're making fun of Avatar by comparing its supposed high-end visual quality to that low poly fighting game (or whatever it was). They weren't making fun of the indie game itself.
