@honestgamer: It would be bad for the industry if Sony were to hang them up. Why do you think the 360 is so cheap now? Because they needed to beat Sony and the threat - however real or perceived - that Sony represented. Remember, before the Sept. price cut, the PS3 was largely outpacing the 360.

McWhertor, I think your review is pretty close to spot-on, at least for me. I am in the midst of the campaign right now and it's just not a fun experience. I will finish the game, but the core gameplay feels like an FPS from five years ago. Disappointing.

I just got into the beta. It's surprisingly fun. I like the feel and the "weight" of the weapons. And it looks beautiful. I wish the sound FX had a little more oomph, but oh well.

@zPhreak: Again, calm down.

I'm a fan of the guy dressed as "fat Scorpion" from Mortal Kombat. Cracked me up!

@danterandal19: I'm with you as well. $10 is a lot of money for this kind of DLC. Don't get me wrong, I love BioShock and I think the PS3 version is a pretty good port, but after a year delay and a full price tag, paying an extra 10 bucks is a kick in the face. Come on, 2K!

Wow. Some really talented stuff there. That Simon Belmot (color version) from Castlevania was awesome.

Jaffe and CliffyB look like they both just woke up...

@Onizuka-GTO: Really? 'Cause I kinda thought the 360 was the John McCain of videogame consoles: it's the oldest of the next-gen consoles, it's prone to "fiery" outbursts and erratic instability (RRoD), and, well, because of Microsoft and their corporate quasi-fascism.

@zPhreak: Calm down, man. Our blogs, games, guns, etc. aren't going anywhere. Regarding the specific sphere of internet/games, the one thing that I WOULD be concerned about is Net Neutrality. Obama is for it and that matters to me (though on a far lesser scale than health care, the economy, etc.).

@Nintendonly: Well, I am voting for the guy who has "Hussein" as a middle name.

@MadExponent: Debt is bad when it's growing at an alarming rate with a plunging dollar.

@Saist: I think you do gamers a great disservice by assuming they're only going to vote for hot button, gaming-only issues. There's a hell of a lot more at stake than some tinfoil hat wearing fear that "Libruls" are going to mess with one's gaming privileges. As the commenter above noted, major issues like the

@DustySword: I'm curious... can you describe your beta experience in greater detail? How are the level layouts? Do the weapons feel balanced (I know it's a beta, but still...), what about the class system — is it more in-depth than the perks system in Call of Duty 4? Any additional thoughts?

Wasn't a big fan of the original, but the trailers for Killzone 2 look really good and this one is no exception. And, from what I hear, the multiplayer beta is supposed to be excellent... it's the single player campaign that keeps me concerned about the game.

That pic is awesome!

Fucking hilarious! The best post on Kotaku this year!

@fuchikoma: Couldn't agree more. That's just the way the universe works. Everything decays. You might like this experimental film called "Decasia" — it's a play on Fantasia, but it's not a parody or anything.

@fuchikoma: But it's true. Every soul on this planet WILL have the taste of death.
