I'm a fan of Sabre Jr. from seeing him at local shows, but I don't think his style works with what WWE does. It *especially* doesn't work within the context of what WWE is selling with the CWC (last night I saw the CWC promo that was a montage of planchas and acrobatic flips and thought Sabre Jr's inclusion was

Yeah. I think my apprehension comes from WWE's poor track record when handling cruiserweights as a division and Smackdown's former reputation for excellent wrestling. Obviously the CWC might be the turning point on that.

…that's how they get ya!

And that is so frustrating because if no one told me Cesaro has an accent, I would barely ever notice it (granted, that might be a result of his lack of mic time, but I've never been distracted by his or really any accent)

I find her so, so very dorky mom endearing sometimes (like her imitating Sasha's taunt when she got drafted, any examples of her dancing, etc.). But then her character is written equally poorly. Very mixed feelings overall.

His name is Titus

A lot of that definitely came across accurately on TV, it seems. Especially the part about Nia's call up. Steph didn't help by starting with "No one like her… from NXT…". You could definitely hear the crowd getting ready to lose their minds. Then, "Nia Jax!" sounded like it got a deflated/mixed reaction.

Yeah, there's a lot of top level talent and top level potential. I dunno - the more I look at the roster, the more I think people would have been disappointed by most permutations of the draft. There's really no way to form a bad half roster even if you divided the whole randomly. Smackdown will be fine* and hopefully

Team Slater all the way

Next week should clarify things a bit, assuming they split the titles and establish new women's and tag titles (I am 100% on board with Becky being the face of this women's division while Alexa Bliss gets to shine). Smackdown not having the cruiserweights is totally baffling, but I'm kind of okay with Smackdown having

I just want to say that I would watch a whole show of Mick Foley saying names and Stephanie imitating taunts or theme songs.

The most baffling thing was Becky being the only announced woman on Smackdown for nearly the entire draft.I think it's going to be an interesting dynamic with her, Naomi and Natalya basically mentoring the NXT call ups. …But hopefully they have another women's title to give the division some direction.

I'm wondering if splitting Paige/ADR is a long-con to build a storyline for Total Divas in the fall. Really sucks for them, either way, though.

They probably went with "balls" when they realized all the fruit metaphor equivalents for "lady balls" aren't PG-appropriate.

It gives that more pathos, at least. A great storyline can enhance a match and provide context; that's partially the point of wrestling. Mashing guys together over and over eventually gets redundant and just feels like an athletic exhibition, no matter how good the participants are.

the fact that it took some months instead of one week is actually progress, sadly

Jax would be a great pick as a call-up who plays the role of "evening the odds" between Sasha and Charlotte/Dana. She's gotten so much better in the last half year, and she'd get more working on the main roster in tag matches than she would staying at Full Sail.

Let's not forget the weeks leading up to it. I mean it began with Reby throwing a fake baby at Jeff.

I don't think that's too weird a rumor. I kind of hope it comes true; his twitter is a bit of a bummer in a "LOOK HOW HAPPY I AM. SEE? I AM OK. PLEASE NOTE HOW OK I AM." kind of way.
