I'm not a fan of touchscreen games either but this one seems to work. It's easy to beat on easy mode and normal mode is not too hard or too easy. The developers were smart enough to add some things to offset touchscreen-unfriendliness, like auto-charge on the X-Buster.

Anyone played Mega Man X on the iPad? It's a pretty good port. It's my 3-year-old son's favorite game now. :)

I've played games for years. However, I have a young son now and I can't really stand these violent games anymore—the execution of the soldier just really disgusts me.

I was playing on my Mac, not sure PC is any different for controls.

I tried this awhile back and found it to be pretty boring. Controls just seemed awful.

I could beat the game pretty easily but could never beat all the end bosses at once. I could beat them one at a time. It was a pain to have to go through the last levels two more times, but I had the patterns down.
