I'd like to suggest:
Holy crap that's needlessly complicated. There are tons of better palette generators that don't just serve to confuse the hell out of you.
@madog: There's no other program that'll even claim to offer the same level of effects that Nimi does, which is because it's hard to do(evidenced by the fact that Nimi is terrible).
@BayardMozie: VLC is nowhere near Nimi in terms of ineptness. It actually works near flawlessly for most people, though I prefer SMplayer because you can restart videos from where you last left off just by opening the file.

@motang: I have no idea why the LH crew would even post this program, it's currently flawed beyond redemption.

Tried using it a while back, it's buggy as hell and not even remotely as smooth as the other OS counterparts. Most of the effects either barely work at all, are glitchy, or flat out won't work properly.
