Looks pretty but it doesn't seem like it'd serve its main purpose of actually being a desk.
It's not extinct, there's just very little of it. It's more of an endangered species.
@dirtysteak: HTML 5 doesn't do everything, and some thing that it does do are better done with Flash.
@hudey123: If you get one that supports standard desktop resolutions, it's great. Having a tv and monitor in one saves a ton of space.

@Snafu77: You can also use an AMD based machine, but expect headaches up the wazoo. Once it's up and running, it works great though.
@GreasyPig: Premiere is a solid choice, doubly so if you do any After Effects work. Being able to share some of the workflow between them is just awesome.
@Kris Aubuchon: They even suck at small transactions. Last week they randomly held a $5 payment I made for literally no reason whatsoever. It took me all week of dealing with them and sending them ID proof to get the money put through.
@jbarr: The new version of Chrome has bookmark and extension syncing so you don't even need to bother with the process of storing a bunch of configuration files in Dropbox.
