Where do you get your information?

EVs generally don't have gearboxes. They are single speed reduction gear.

1.) When will it be for sale in Texas?

You’re talking about a different situation. In most jurisdictions a tow truck driver isn’t *supposed* to “break into” a vehicle without the owners permission to take it out of park or release the brake. They still do it sometimes when it’s necessary but more often they just drag the drive wheels because they can do

The Model X is rated for towing 5,000 lbs and is available with a tow hitch from the factory...

No. Why does everything think this? Vehicles of all shapes and sizes get towed every day. Tow trucks rarely have the luxury of being able to lift the drive wheels off the ground from the original spot. They often have to lift the non driven side first, drag the vehicle with the drive wheels locked (from the parking

“Yes, I totally deserve $10,000 or so in damage because I blocked your charger.”

They did. It’s been reported and confirmed several times over the past several months.

If you could over ride the built in computer that prevents moving the vehicle when the a/c charger is powered, then sure.

I don’t particularly understand how everyone who doesn’t own an EV (And can’t even *spell* “LEAF”) are suddenly experts in how much they cost to insure.

As has been reported by several other EV drivers in the comments already: No.

His fanboys still continue to back him up though. Here’s one said Fanboy tearing into me for daring to “retweet” something mildly critical of Musk’s “pedo” comment:

Ugh. Yet another video that wants to force me to sign up for Facebook before it'll let me watch it.

San Antonio is in fact getting one, as well as Columbus, TX which already has a Tesla supercharger. Here’s my version of the map I made by downloading their JSON data:

1) Instant hot water heaters aren’t really “new tech”. They are really just very powerful heaters, there’s nothing “new tech” about them.

You stole my idea...

Renting is not inconvenient nor expensive. Many rental car companies will pick you up for free and many people are often surprised that renting a car can often be cheaper than driving your own car on a longer road trip.

You completely missed the point of the post I was responding to, which said:

Bandsaws is correct. You can sometimes get away with operating the phone on wall charger only w/out battery installed... But if you do anything that causes a spike in electrical demand the phone will freeze or reset. I’ve tested this many many times albeit with non-Apple devices.

Your phone doesn’t really draw power directly from the battery case. The battery case supplies power through a DC/DC converter which pushes 5 volts through the phones charging port the same way the wall adapter does, but at a much lower rate (current). The amount of current that those battery cases DC/DC converters
