Awesome! I knew LastPass would buy Xmarks. It's just so logical. My secure passwords and bookmarks all together, not tied to any specific platform.

@The5thElephant: I've been having on and off trouble with loading Pandora. Gives me an error about storage.
There was an article on Lifehacker awhile ago about getting Ubuntu and Windows to work together in harmony. It suggested having a third (NTFS) partition for just your documents, so that both systems could access those files. That's basically what I do.
@jupiterthunder: I'm pretty sure it's just another British vs. American thing, or something.
@bowei437: I'm really hoping it's some kind of streaming service.
I don't know whether I'll actually use this, but I'm definitely intrigued. It's just the beginning of a pissing fight between Facebook and Google. Who knows what's next.
@Jacob King: Doesn't AVG already scan USB devices when you plug them in?
@Jorge Encarnação: I'm pretty sure that gedit is more or less as powerful. They both have plenty of plugins available.
Does the BBC have enough influence internationally to drive US-based networks to do the same? So, say, Hulu and Netflix could be available everywhere too?
@ImperfectLink: I love Plaintext!
@Randallrocks: Yeah, it must just be in the dev version.
Wow. This article didn't give me many new extensions, but I had no idea that Chrome now has built-in flash blocking.
So, whatever happened to Lifehacker having a featured desktop post every week? I enjoyed that. It was cool to see how other people customized their desktop, even if their particular setup wasn't for you.
@popennell: I've kinda been thinking about this a lot lately too. It is cool how it's all real-time updates, and some news stories have been reported on Twitter before the major news media picked it up.
Raking leaves? So last week.
My gut reaction was to respond like most of the posts here, as I'm currently typing up this comment on a laptop, and would be typing way slower if that wasn't the case. Also the smaller screen.
@iHack: That would actually be a good idea. You could argue if you're going to hide all of their posts, there's no point of still being their friend, unless you don't want to offend them or something.
Any Lifehackers going to the Rally to Restore Sanity tomorrow?
@salient1: I wondered if maybe they couldn't find a picture of one, but that can't be the case, because the crunchgear article they linked to had one.
So, it sounds like these will be closer to Chrome extensions than Firefox extensions?
