@Sandwich: I find it works a little better for me using List view. So then I only click on an article if the headline looks interesting. Still room for inaccuracy, if I click and then realize I don't actually care to read the article, but not nearly as bad as just scrolling past it.

Well, I guess lifehacker's taught me well. I already have most of these, along with several others.

It might be a little late now for open thread questions, but....

@tbhuang2: Well, there could be things that you want synced on your home computer, but not at work, or vice versa.

Yay! Three day weekend!

Cool concept, but since not being able to see every pixel of the video would drive me crazy, I personally can't see any practical use for it. Better to save movie-watching for when I'm not trying to be productive.

I'm surprised to see only sunkist on the list, and not any other soft drinks (cola, etc). Maybe if it was top 50 or something.

Looking to kill the rest of the day's productivity? Go to [www.google.com] and play pacman today!

I finally realized having too many desktop icons drove me nuts, and made me OCD, always rearranging and stuff, so I learned to go completely blank, other than the recycle bin, which I haven't got around to hiding yet.

@Clayton Horstman: Check the top of the wave for the publically edited wave.

@Miral007: Agreed. I'd like to add to that the Developer Preview of IE9.

Yeah, I have to join the Vista defenders. I don't see what the big problem was, at least after SP1.

I use Xmarks. Weave is nice, too, but Xmarks is cross-platform, and available across several browsers.

@Phoshi: Agreed. They're all pretty niche sites. A lifehacker productivity geek is not necessarily going to be as knowledgeable about something like cars or sports.

@dragonskin: There's some good ideas in there.

I bought a copy of Office 2007 via the Ultimate Steal for college students earlier this year, so I should be eligible for a free copy soon.

That's cool.

I have a mild hearing impairment, so I obviously can't pass for an audiophile, but it is important to an extent.

Thanks for taking the time to organize the "Free Stuff!" section. Much easier to read through now.
