Hmm, might be a reason to actually turn on email notifications again. They seemed redundant before. I'd either already seen them or would be going to facebook soon anyways, and would see it.
Laptop, but if I was living by myself and had more room, I'd want a desktop as well. Laptop is nice to take to school or trips, but sitting at a desktop while home can be nice too.
@Jux: I don't think they're talking about spam. I took it to mean mailing lists that you signed up for, but don't want to receive anymore.
@Archnemesis_Goldenhair: I think the minimalist in me just died and went to heaven with that last one.
Is there any way to view personalized Google News feeds in Google Reader? Only works when I log out before I subscribe. I'd like to subscribe to my "Recommended" feed.
I'm a student at a community college, and have become pretty good friends with this girl in the same major as me. We're both programmers. She is also at least 15 years older than me.
Hmm, this appears to have slowed down startup time considerably on my laptop. Anyone else have this problem?
@wolfman544: That's kinda what I was thinking.
Currently trying #2, but I think I must need better pillows or something. Having trouble making this comfortable, have to keep lifting my head a little to see screen.
I currently have neither, so i'd be happy either way.

Hmm, chrome is becoming a more viable candidate to replace Firefox. It might be hard to completely break my loyalty, though.
I've never actually used it, but iMacros appears to be a Chrome version of the firefox extension. [addons.mozilla.org]
About the bed tip. Might not work for me. I'd be tempted to stay in it after not getting out right away.
I've asked for noise canceling headphones for Christmas, and after doing a little research to recommend a pair to buy, I noticed that there's noise canceling headphones and also sound isolating earphones.
So, I'm thinking about customizing my desktop this weekend, using samurize or maybe rainmeter. I've tried before, but always gave up frustrated because I could never find a good/working replacement for the system tray in Vista.
I recently had to do the remove crapware thing with my dad's computer. This post has inspired me to have my flash drive prepared with all necessary tools for next time. Thanks for the tips!
@Jimmy From The Block: Seconded on the home directory bug. Very annoying.
