I've been a bad linux fan lately. Been using windows exclusively.

That'd be awesome to see. Not sure if it's really worth staying up till 4AM though. I have class early tomorrow. #outdoors

I'd like to be crazy about portable apps, but the only real, frequent use I have for them would be at school, and exe's are blocked from running on a flash drive.

I recently decided to try foobar2000, since so many people here at lifehacker seem to like it. However, while I don't like bloat, foobar2000 just seems too simple for me.

Yeah, I think I'm definitely one of the go to google when there's a doodle people. :)

@JCMasterpiece: I had same problem. Be sure to run as administrator. Worked for me after that.

I live with my parents, so it's not really my choice, and I do find myself sitting in front of the tv, for convenience/social family time, if nothing else.

Yeah, I think I'd rather just put up with the scratch, rather than potentially make it worse. I'm not sure I even have non-gel toothpaste.

Depends on your definition of "watch", really.

I've been trying lately to just remember all my passwords, and changing them once in a while to help that effort. Because I can have them saved on my laptop all I want, but if I don't have my laptop at school, and have to use the computers there, chances are there's at least a few I don't remember at all, so now I'm

@Ryan Bartlett: I immediately assumed the son used the mac, because I figured it seemed more likely that someone younger would use it. (Not always true, though. I'm 20 and don't really prefer the mac.)

Interesting how it was so close. I guess I really need to try them all!

This is a really nice design. It's inspired me to get serious about my desktop customizations again. It does seem like a lot of these desktops that monitor system info and time do become useless once a window is opened.

Strange video, but I must admit, the song is catchy. I'm still singing it!

Beat the heat? What heat? We have barely reached into the 80s lately here in PA. Can't complain I guess, it's comfortable.

At first I thought the whole "Back to Beta" Labs feature was a little silly. Then I actually logged in and saw the logo change. Doesn't change much I guess. But if I stop and think, I've been with Gmail since very close to the beginning. I can see how people might be very sad.

@Brain.wav: Yeah, same here. To each his own, I suppose, but I think I actually find this way more annoying. I usually have it set up so the tab bar is not showing if there's only one tab, actually.

My handwriting is pretty bad, unless I take my time. But how many things do we still use handwriting for? Only thing I can think of at the moment that anyone else will actually see is maybe a quick note for someone else around the house. Everything else, with exceptions, seems to be typed, so who cares, really.

1. Google Reader

This is great news, and I'm all for extensions, but I really hope Linux/Mac versions come soon...
