I’m reading all your comments and I just want to express that I love everything you’re saying. Rome wasn’t built in a day. We can’t have a Utopian society without patiently working through some of this stuff first, and many mistakes will surely be made along the way.

Starred for the rest of your post but I’m not aware of anything going on with Sara Silverman or if there’s something I missed. What has she said or done? Not disagreeing at all, I think I’m just very unaware in this case.

Edit: Never mind, saw your other post and recall the Louis CK incident now.

Just commented and then realized I echoed this statement.

Are you thinking of Zooey Deschanel?

Every interview (video, audio, or written) I’ve ever seen with CRJ seems to support the idea that she puts her artistic integrity first. She seems totally self-aware that she’s writing pop music, and I give her a ton of credit for putting the effort into writing a catchy pop hook like she does. Too many people think

This would be a valid point if it didn’t completely ignore CRJ’s lyrical content. Her music sounds happy, but it is mostly about failed relationships, being friend zoned, wanting something you can’t have, etc.

But I guess that also proves the point - the general public doesn’t seem to want music with subtlety or

No, the millennials that can’t even afford to buy extra white t-shirts because we’re trying to scrounge together what money we have to be able to afford to afford rent or a mortgage.

And no, we’re not frivolously spending on avocado toast or whatever else.

With a character like the Joker, though, one could argue he only said that to instigate Maroni. But I guess we’ll never know.

Bingo! We have a winner.

Mr. Bubble Gun, I don’t feel so good...

I can totally see that part of it, I just think it could have been achieved better if it turned into dust instead. Same futility, no joke.

And yet, I bite my nails every single time I watch the Millennium Falcon fly through the asteroid field in Empire Strikes Back. I didn’t do that while watching Infinity War.

Of course there are no real stakes in anything fictional. That’s not the point.

Turning two deadly weapons into bubbles was not pitch-perfect to me. I enjoyed the film, but I’m sick and tired of these movies having to make a joke out of everything. The film took two moments that were otherwise beautiful, emotional, heart-wrenching scenes and took all of the weight out of them.

After re-reading my post, I realized that may have come off as sarcasm toward you or condescension. I’m really just annoyed with Google. Sorry about that!

You’re missing the part where Google needs anywhere from 2-5 products for one purpose. One solution is never enough.

And a terrific smile.

Baba Yaga...

I’m thinking about getting my own place in a few months and this is incredibly helpful. It’s stuff I’ve already thought about (27, living with parents and paying down school loan debt, I’ve been ready to get out) but reading something to help gauge how I should plan is extremely helpful.

I fully endorse this highly-efficient use of poop time.
