Ah, makes more sense. I thought there were two per bumper (from memory, I didn’t actually check...). I actually noticed it on another car on the road just today, so I should have researched before I said anything. Oops.

If there are two tow eyes per bumper and each carries half the vehicles gross weight, wouldn’t they, combined, carry all the weight of the vehicle? Or is my math a little wonky there?
