A little help from the other side:

A Single Flower

The house on Kelly Street

And here’s another tale from my mom’s time in the lab:

Oh, I’m a bit late but hopefully this will still get seen.

This isn’t a story so much as an account of a strange time in my life. I originally wrote it up for a true horror anthology, so sorry if it’s a bit long!

“Tales from an ER Laboratory”

I told this story here years ago, but I was reminiscing with my son the other night and was reminded of what happened when we lived in our former house.

srsly

Wow rude how you gonna do Betsy Johnson like that?!  Just for no damn reason.  Uncute.

Seven years of nothing. Since John Stewart left I’ve never seen any clips from The Daily Show that were funny, interesting,  or insightful.   Just an empty suit of a host.

If Sandy Hook wouldn’t change their minds on guns, no amount of 10 year old rape victims will change their minds on abortion.   They simply don’t care.  People who aren’t “them” (or in their inner circle of rich old white cronies) don’t matter to them one iota.

I effin’ love Ghosts the television show(s). After catching it in the middle of last year, I went back and rewatched everything I missed. Then I watched the British version and ended up loving that one. Have you watched both twice and can’t decide which one is my favorite because I have favorites among each roster of

I’m not sure wingnut fearmongering is what ultimately kneecapped Sarsour and Mallory specifically. With Mallory especially, I feel like calling Louis “White People Are Demon Mongrel Offspring Bred By A Black Scientist Named Yakub Several Thousand Years Ago” Farrakhan the “GOAT” did a lot more damage.

Sample lyric: “God save the queen / She’s not a human being.”

Way back when legendary football coach Vince Lombardi was still alive - despite problems - he had flat out refused to have any doctor “stick something up my azz” - he had retired from the Green Bay Packers after the 1967 season after turning them into the league’s most dominant team of the decade - then in 1969 he

My grandfather (~75) and uncle (~60) both died of colon cancer. My uncle just passed away late last year. They were both already at stage 4 by the time it was discovered, and their deaths were preceded by rapid declines and weeks of immense pain.

he really needs to reconsider. I was in a bad car accident a couple of years ago at age 51 and when they xrayed me they found a mass in my colon. luckily it was caught so early I was stage 0/1 depending on who you talked to. totalling that Jeep saved my life.

You mean Jimble Kimble?

Good. For. Her.

Agreed. My sister was 50 when they found her cancerous cells and since I am one of the younger siblings, I had to get my first two years ago (44 at the time). I’m just glad he’s not streaming the prep, which is far worse than the actual procedure. I’m glad your husband is cancer free. My sister is too.
