Um, I don't think Taylor Swift is slut-shamed for dating a bunch of guys. I think she's made fun of for being a 13 year old girl stuck in a 24 year old girl's body.

Miley is arguably also going outside "traditional gender roles" by being outrageous. I agree she's doing it to be famous and sell records. Still no reason for anyone to chastise her for it.

Sinead was slut-shaming. She called Miley a prostitute.

I think *she* missed something.

lolz.....miley should REALLY study some history bc she mentions performing on SNL as if it were something that Sinead never did.....and as I recall at the time, Sinead went into the performance as an epitome of cool and came out in the eye of a controversy tempest, the heights of which Miley could never dream of

Over the months & years, there's been a progression of adjectives that swirled about my brain in Miley Cyrus word association. Cheesy. Disney. Sweet. Burgeoning. Over compensating. Hubris. Misguided.

Did I miss something? Where are her pants?

As I am older than both Sinead and Miley:

$5 says Moiley (typo and it stays) rips up a picture of Sinead at the end of her "performance" on Saturday Night Live. Who's with me?

On Lena Dunham, who apparently "...only dresses up as a giant baby when she is playing a fictional character," I present exhibit A:

My biggest regret is that Sinead called her "talented". Damnit, Sinead, then she mocked you, because she's well, not.

Because there's NO WAY Sinead staged a giant publicity stunt centered around the most talked about person in music right now so that we might, um, talk about Sinead again, right? No, this had absolutely no upside for her. /sarcasm

Yeah I wasn't a fan of the "behaving like a prostitute" bit, but I'm still with Sinead overall. Making fun of mental illness is such an asshole thing to do.

What the fuck is wrong with you people? Sinead pulls a classic slut shaming stunt and Miley is STILL your personal pinata?? What in the actual fuck you guys.
I can't believe I'm saying this but LEAVE MILEY ALONE ALREADY.

Probably not questions about her underwear, for one.

I love how you completely ignore and erase the sexism that's going on.

Defense may be to prove your client didn't rape. Not to prove the victim asked for it.

Well this certainly does explain a lot for me, though. The lawyer my ex hired after he was arrested for beating me is a former military lawyer. He also has a terrible reputation among DA's and victim's advocacy groups around here for being a total slimy scumbag. While a defense attorney may victim blame or be skeevy,

It seems that in a military court, victim is synonymous with "enemy combatant."

Just... what the ever-living fuck?! Seriously? So it is not allowed to ask such things in regular court, but they can and will use those tactics in military court. Wow, stay classy, guys! Stay classy!
