That is not a great post. For one thing, whoever wrote that appears to be totally unaware of the bludgeoning she got in the press for being 'healthy' size for years. And for another, the press tore her to shreds for waiting around for him. This new sainthood thing is quite recent.

Honestly, it's not worth arguing with people like this. Anytime Britain is mentioned in a jez article the trolls come out. It's weirdly consistent.

I had no idea who this woman was and then I googled her and realised that I heard about her back at the time and she is certifiable. Yowza. Hard call. Awful vs awful.

Oh cool. We're having a meetup in Vancouver in April - you're welcome to join if you can make it!

Where are you based, Edith?!

This reminds me. I've been petitioning Ernie to let me sert up a creative/crafting E.g. knitting) jez sub page. I think there's huge demand. Please put a good word in? :)

Burt! Unrelated but is it you who is super into creme de la mer? If so could I pick your brain some time? Not with sharp implements or anything...

I really, really love that version.

Yeah I scrolled down after I posted that. It's ridiculous.

Wait, what exactly are these qualifications that decades of Vogue cover stars have?

Exactly. I think it's ridiculous to get all up in arms about it (or to even remotely care)but I'm not shocked that there are eejits in the world who do.

I don't think anyone's arguing about Kim's success, just about the feigning surprise that anyone can get up in arms about such ridiculous things.

I get that you're not into Vogue, but it's fairly exclusive (albeit decreasingly), you must realise that. There are people who decry even letting actors on the cover, nevermind reality tv stars who rose to fame from their sex tape and friendship with yet another reality tv star.

As obnoxious as this is, and it is obnoxious, I have had interns (in business, not law) show up wearing no pants.

You need to google 'scouse brow' for some good times.

That was what I clicked on this article to see and i couldn't believe it wasn't discussed.

My close friends who are Irish are mostly mortified by the offensive, cartoonish depictions and stereotypes. Weirdly, they're absolutely cool with the drinking. haha

Huh, who knew. Here in London I definitely haven't noticed a decline!

Restart?? Has it abated?!

Ed Miliband gets endless bad press but I really like him. I'm definitely impressed with him.
