It was before Dylan’s editorial. I’m the same age as Greta Gerwig, and I did not know about the abuse until Dylan wrote about it. The Soon-Yi thing makes him a creep, but not a criminal, and it’s hard to refuse to work with every creep and still have a career.

It depends. As a 35 year old now, I did not know about the Dylan Farrow story until she wrote her article in 2014, because when the original story happened when I was a child. I did know about the soon-yi part, but again not all the details. So I think it is totally reasonable for her to apologize to Dylan and say

Isn’t it possible that she didn’t remember the Dylan aspect of the story and only knew the more sensationalized Soon-Yi part of the story? I’m about Greta’s age and I did not remember much about Dylan’s role in all of this until just a few years ago.

I conceived spontaneously a couple months before we were supposed to start our first IVF cycle. Our insurance covered infertility treatments, including IVF (we were very lucky) so it was definitely the less expensive option for us. In the end I opted to only have one child and we didn’t use IVF, but I had zero qualms

I’m struggling to understand why you feel like you are entitled to understanding their position and their decision in re: family planning

...“look like a horrible person”. Customer service agents aren’t there to be abused because you don’t like the corporate policy. You guys booked an airline with a policy you knew you would find a problem and harassed a random worker with no control until they bent the rules for you (who knows if they got in trouble or

“To which I march up and begin yelling”

You can do all of that without yelling or cursing or making threats or looking like an asshole.

You sound like a fucking gem.

I’m with you. My eyes almost rolled out of my head at the “Can I have a few more minutes?” request. Seriously, lady?

Do you think Trump has ever eaten a real, fresh apple?

She chose her safety, the safety of her children, and the safety of her unborn child, over leaving an extremely angry, volatile man who would not tolerate her departure. Your response is pat, oversimplistic, and ignores the reality of life as a woman in a relationship with an abusive man. You have no good options.

“Collection of errors,” hmmmm. So you describe Franken’s multiple instances of unwanted groping and kissing unwilling women as a “collection of errors?” That’s the problem right there. A collection of errors is opening a crayon box and they are all the same color. A collection of errors is a Trump family dinner. I

“Go use your pitchfork to go after Trump and Moore”

All of this. I really hope there won’t be another slew of Jezebel commentariat today writing embarrassing things like ‘But we need him’, and ‘He wasn’t really groping her breasts - the Kevlar was there!’

Im so mad at the people on this site who defended him when the uso incident was reported. He shpuld have been forced put then. The dems have lost the moral high ground by not immediately disposing of Franken and Conyers like nbc did when the accusations against Lauer were about to drop.

He needs to go. I don’t care if this was during his “showbiz” phase, pre- upstanding senator. He was a grown ass man who should have had more respect for women. He’s just as gross as the rest of them, he needs to go.

It’s unprofessional, unhygienic, and rude to walk around an office barefoot. I can’t believe there’s anyone who doesn’t think so.

Of course he is. First of all, I read about his being a creep/predator on gossip blogs way back; like fifteen years ago it was already known that he was deeply disrespectful towards women, to put it mildly.
