BTW, candidates like Tim Ryan just viscerally bother in the most negative of ways. It’s most because they tell lies about their own party. Dems have tried every which way to court mostly white, mostly racist voters in the “heartland,” to a degree that is often embarrassing. And yet all your hear the Tim Ryan’s lie

Warren killed it. Go Liz Go!

According to the Washington Post (sorry the graphic is slightly askew)

While I think a lot of candidates made good showings for themselves tonight, I’m inclined to agree. If I had to vote in the primary tomorrow, I’d vote for Warren.

That said, I found myself thinking back to the utter circus that was the Republican primary debates in 2012 and feeling pretty damn good about the future.

If it was a legitimate shooting, the body has ways of shutting that whole thing down

I realize I’m spamming here, but this is how it starts. A poor woman of colour outside a dollar store. Some day they will come for the lower middle class single white woman who miscarried because she couldn’t afford to work only one job while hella pregnant.

I mean I do not shave my pubic area but I do shave my legs so it is relevant to me; I don’t understand the confusion here?

I have a Billie and I like it. I use that Billie to shave my calves and knees but very rarely my thighs or pubic region. I don’t think it’s a terribly conflicted ad—I think they mean that shaving is not an all-or-nothing grooming procedure. No one likes capitalism, but using feel-good ads to normalize bodies is an

As a resident of Queens, I am SO HAPPY that the Democratic machine here is finally collapsing and dying. AOC was first, now Caban... we’re gonna close Rikers and not replace it and NYC will be a better, more humane place for it.

OKAY BUT the real crime of that Sports Illustrated interview was when he was describing everyone else at that table. He referred to Idris Elba as “the black guy from The Wire” and Henry Golding asan Asian gentleman.”

Good on her! Excited to see the spillover from Deadspin on this one...

Now that I have a 7 year old it's become clear to me kids drive the pop music market. If you can't grab the kids, you can't hit #1. Despacito was a huge hit with the kids. Kids sadly don't write many think pieces about why they still like the catchy song more than a new song.

Robin Thicke hit his other child that he had with his first wife.

No one - not Taylor Swift, or any other rich, white, conventionally attracted white woman - is entitled to a number one spot. “Blocking” and “kept out” are both phrases that implicitly give ownership or the rights of a place to someone - and Taylor Swift does not “own” the number one spot.

It does seem pretty racist. framing not as him having won - but keeping a white lady from her “rightful” spot.

Anybody who hates Dolly Parton that much should probably just keep that to themselves.

I dunno, maybe it’s because I live in San Francisco but $3 Million in renovations doesn’t sound like that much.

When I watch The Crown I think what a drag it must be to have the responsibility of being a queen but not the power to invade Iceland or order anyone beheaded.

To be honest we basically have the best of both worlds in that those who have power are elected while the Monarch is entirely ceremonial with no real power outside their presence.

Eh, the British are free to abolish the monarchy and adopt a constitutional republic form of government whenever they want. They don’t seem to be in a rush to do that, whatever the complaints about the royals.
