It may have telegraphed too much, but I wished they had gotten into Adora’s relationship with the girls and how she was putting so much energy into trying to ‘save’ them thus stoking Amma’s jealousy and rage.

I am 33 and every year when this show rolls around I feel like I age 10 years in a single evening. I know I’m supposed to know who these people are but I don’t and can’t tell any of them apart. 

My uncle is firmly in the ‘Hotel California’ destroyed rock & roll music, so he’s not a suspect either. My dad, however, is definitely culpable here. 

My coworker saw Phish maybe 10 times LAST YEAR alone. My mind could not and will not ever be able to process that amount of whiteness. 

I would let him go if for nothing else than to prevent him from whining every day that baby stays cooking that he missed seeing Lord Vedder for the 1000th time at what was sure to be the most epic show ever.

That’s definitely one way to read it. She may also want to wait until he’s more stable so that he doesn’t go off the rails once the divorce goes through. I think she’s absolutely over his shit but wants him to be healthy and around for the kids.

Interesting. I knew she had people working on her behalf through her charities, but she doesn’t have a day to day publicist.  It seems like everyone on her team has a very business relationship with her and that she doesn’t have many personal ties to the people she surrounds herself with. The crazy thing is that it worked for awhile! She’s just so out of her depth when it comes to crisis comms that it’s backfiring here. 

She doesn’t have any ‘people’ on her side. Up until now she served as her own publicist so she doesn’t have a standing relationship with a rep to put a positive spin on her side the way he does. I think he claimed to not have reps while they were together, but I think it’s pretty clear with how he’s handling this mess…

Just finished it last night, and I really enjoyed it. 

Jake was almost Spider-Man when Toby hurt his back, so you’re not too far off. 

It’s not being implemented until the 2020 ceremony, so if it’s for Black Panther, then they really played themselves. 

Totally, I think there’s a good argument there for what artists have to do to become a part of the art world and to get their work shown. It would have been nice to see some of that played out on screen. 

It did kind of bother me that she seemingly gets a ‘pass’ for using a white voice. We see her express discomfort when Cassius uses it at the bar, so was she not doing it then, or is it only okay in certain contexts? Was it not until he called her out for selling her art to rich white people that she started doing it?…

Also, if we’re using arthritis as a running theme, shouldn’t Roland be mentioned? 

That was my first thought too, but I think it’s more likely to be a thinny.

She has the right attitude and presence to play Kate. I hope they’re investing in an acting coach for her, but I think she’ll do fine.

I think immediately jumping to ‘B’ would create a Streisand Effect where ones past behavior would come under scrutiny when it may not have otherwise. The point of deleting old posts (which everyone should do, btw) is to get ahead of the story, not to create one.
