The 3DS version is mad nostalgic.
Based on just these screenshots? I’m sure you realize the bottom screen is an homage and not representative of the gameplay. But anyway, the 3DS looks just as good as DQ8 did (so far the best-looking mainline DQ). Granted its not as nice as PS4 but I don’t think its clear cut at all and the 3DS version looks nice…

Funny because thats the plot of Square’s other, other Ivalice games (FF Tactics advance). The hero is also a douchey looking guy in that series (though not as bad as Vaan).

If you feel inspired to play the original metal gear, maybe try https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Gear:_Ghost_Babel instead. The first one is fine but the GBA is basically a fully-playable and good game based on the concept.

I played this game a couple years ago and had a blast, never getting that far before real life took over.
