Wasn’t going to watch it, but a show that makes a certain demographic froth like these comment writers? It’s now a must see!

I had pretty low hopes for the finale after I saw where we left off after episode 5, but I think the finale did a fairly good job of tidying everything up. Overall the show worked for me as I’m fine with leaving the supernatural elements unexplained. My biggest gripes are some of the decisions the characters made…
I guess I’m in the minority, but I thought it was great. Good acting, fun writing. Danvers had awesome one-liners. I’m semi-frustrated at the things not fully explained (tongue!), but I’m ok with not all loose ends tied up.
Also, even though Season 1 is one of the best shows ever, fuck Nic Pizzolatto. He did this well…
Flower’s my favorite. I have a funny feeling that she’ll be back. Somehow.
I love Abbott Elementary, but I think Ghosts is way funnier and the ensemble is a lot stronger; but because Abbott deals with Big Issues, the Academy likes it better, I guess.
The point is not that Biden is bad and Trump is good, or that Trump and Biden are interchangeable.
What is the alternative to abortion on demand? Why does he feel the need to keep letting everyone know how personally he is against abortion?
Totally. Same with that guy from Bridgerton. And Jacob Elordi. And Austin Butler.
Totally agree. I think a lot of great actresses head to TV because the roles are better. But again, this means the women who are already known and have awards take the great parts so women who are on the edge of big success are still being shut out. Are you going to hire someone for your streaming project who was in…
I feel like at least there are more older actresses getting parts instead of Jennifer Lawrence playing all 20/30/40 year olds. Sophia Vergera is 50 (not like a normal human 50, but still 50) and did a great job on Griselda.
Yeah, look to her costar in Fair Play for a perfect example of this phenomenon. Alden Ehrenreich isn’t any more talented than her but he’s in Oppenheimer, has a Marvel show coming out, etc. etc. It’s a boy’s club.
I think the issue for actresses is that all the roles go to the same five actresses. So if you’re in the age bracket of 30s those roles go to Emma Stone or Margot Robbie first. If you’re an actress in her 40s or 50s those roles go to Cate Blanchette. If you’re over 60 they go to Meryl Streep. If any of those actresses…
Are there any left who aren’t actively coming for gay rights, reproductive freedoms, and honest recitations of American history?
Yep, this is the correct interpretation I think the show is trying to convey. He’s a power keg without much to lose at this point. And he’s a good character because he could plausibly have a turn for the better or the worse and either could work.
Yes, having a father as influential, respected and loved in all facets of the entertainment industry, with countless hit singles to his credit, as Billy Ray Cyrus is clearly an ironclad guarantee of enduring fame and endless success, regardless of talent. Just ask Noah Cyrus.
Who was asking for Dave Chapelle or Shane Gillis?
I mean yeah but also...it’s just a strange trend. Chappelle, Haley, Gillis... And all in an election year? And Michaels surely remembers the criticism SNL got for letting trump host, so at this point it’s hard to believe it’s anything other than intentional.
I worked with her team on a project a few years back and I can anecdotally confirm that your first point is true. I did not work with her personally but with her manager and mother, and there were definite vibes of “fuck it she can’t do anything right.” They were insanely protective of her in a way I felt wasn’t…
Honest question to Lorne: Who is asking for Nicky Fucking Haley to be on SNL?
Congrats to Miley, Endless Summer Vacation is a great piece of work.
