I didn’t say don’t tip. And I reiterated that my comment did not apply to US servers who somehow are paid insanely low wages. That’s just not the case in Canada. And honestly, I live in one of the largest cities in this country and the restaurant offerings are so god damn bland and the service is generally... not good.…

I would not make such a comment if I had not worked previously as a server and a bartender. Easily some of the easiest and most enjoyable jobs I’ve ever held. And you know why I went for them? I’m an attractive enough blonde woman, and the inherit sexism of the tipping system worked in my favour. 

no. 20% is an extremely generous tip. Call me a fucking jerk all you want. Tipping is stupid and sexist, and we should be pushing for a change that sees servers paid a fair wage and doesn’t put customers in that awkward situation of tipping.
