Yeah, there were some threads over in the Facebook fan group, but that's essentially it. A few people contacted Pat and posted the screenshots/messages of his response. It apparently happened during a lunch meeting, and was awkward for everyone. And the implication from some in the group was that maybe Matt had an

Who would've expected a DnD podcast to leave me with tears rolling down my face on my morning commute? I remember laughing out loud at "Earl Merle!" and taking a deep breath as Griffin asked "how does Magnus die?". I can't wait to see what they do next, and I'm definitely re-listening to the whole series again.

Thanks! I'm going to read through it tonight.

I agree. I can't wait to turn around and listen all over again after the finale. I'm sure I missed a ton of little details.

That's how I started The Adventure Zone, too. Now I'm caught up don't know what to do with myself. (Ha, just kidding, I will listen to the tons of other podcasts that have built up while I went into my McElroy rabbit hole) It's so worth it!

As far as episode suggestions, I started off with the Dahmer episodes (#122-124) which were great. I skip around the back catalog, listening to the "bigger" topics like Jonbenet, or serial killers, and skipping the somewhat iffy conspiracy type eps. So far, so good.

I fell away from it for awhile, but after the election "The Smartest Man in the World" is one of the first podcasts I went back to.

I've only listened to 2 eps of The Axe Files (Lin-Manuel Miranda and Van Jones) recently, and they were pretty good. I can't speak to it being "alternative" , but I subscribed in hope.

That's a great podcast that I need to revisit. I was a subscriber for awhile, but gave it up. Maybe time for a re-listen from the beginning.

I hear you. I started at the beginning, and I've only made it a few episodes in. Maybe it's just them finding their groove, and getting comfortable, but I find myself wishing they would stop tiptoeing around stuff and just get into the story. At some point, they recommended Last Podcast on the Left, so I checked it

I just started listening, and I love it. I do feel a little squicky about enjoying it , like "gee, can't wait to drive home and listen to the next Dahmer episode!" . I think the morbid, sarcastic humor helps, though. I've been trying to get into My Favorite Murder, too, but I feel like it's not as "meaty". (Aaaaaannnd,

It would have to The Travel Bug with August Lindt episode of Andy Daly's podcast. Or any youtube videos of Matt Gourley doing H.R.Giger.
