What's wrong with uniforms is that when students are free to choose what they wear, they can choose things that flatter them. Uniforms look cute or at least good on some people, and terrible on others (generally anyone apple or pear shaped or who looks frumpy, thick-waisted or uni-booby in tucked in collared blouses,

It was not necessary to make her test her shorts in front of the whole class. That could have been done privately.

Deserters of the Night's Watch (and the Night's Watch has a fair share of rapists on it...so...) - and it was implied in the book that those deserters were raping Craster's wives, it just wasn't shown in a scene set there.

I do agree here. What GoT needs isn't less sex, it's more dongs.

...because the characters in that scene viewed rape as so normal, and women as so disposable, that they considered it meaningless background, and that horrifies us, and that's the point?

Even if they were...in the books it is clear that the Targaryens married siblings all the time.

"Pulling for characters and never having any satisfying payoff"

Roz is *one character* and a minor one. As above, I can think of several female characters whose stories were presented as being about them and their experience, which includes a few rape scenes.

No, because Roz was not a major character. But Danaerys's brutalization was presented as about Danaerys. Sansa, although she was not raped (she almost was though) was presented as about Sansa. The constant threat of rape surrounding Arya while she was with Yoren was presented as about Arya.

So you think the deserters of the Night's Watch are "the most beautiful people possible"? Okaaaay...we have different tastes then. And there was nothing erotic about Craster's Keep.

Oh gooooooooooooood.

Isn't the "there's two kinds of black people..." (I won't even finish the phrase) from a Chris Rock routine?

I know it doesn't count in your rankings, but you can improve a banh mi. Get the creaminess by mixing spicy sauce (Sriracha or whatever) with cream cheese or Laughing Cow spread until it's smooth - eliminates the need for head cheese.

On the one hand I feel like - what she meant to say is that of course women should feel free to do whatever they want (well, within the confines of a reasonable moral code before any trolls hop on this), that's what feminism is and that's cool, she's down with that, but she's not super into it like an activist.

that's gorgeous but the top photo, with just her lower back, looks like fungus-covered balls.

The dress this is based on is not the ugliest, but the actual dress that was created might well be.

I actually like 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8 except 2 needs to go easy on the cultural appropriation and 8 needs to lose the gold boob accents.

I don't even hate the dress but the cultural appropriation stings and hurts.

can we eat the foil-wrapped cookies on this dress?

the lights take that from horrifying to AMAZING actually. Would that I'd had the guts to put lights in my dress.
