All of this is true. There’s been a real rise in kind people on comedies. It’s part of why I enjoyed Community so much, Cougar Town as well (despite the horrific name, CT became a very, very good show).

No, Parks and Rec is a superior show from the same creators (well, the American version of the Office).

To be fair we’ve since gotten a few great Michael Schur comedies due mostly to his success with The Office. Parks & Rec is phenomenal. Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Good Place are right up there as well. The Office was the price we paid to get the rest made.

Takei was the first “liberal” that I realized may just be a token guy. He’s tweeted insuling things about the mentally ill before. He’s insinuated that women are “gross”, along with other sexist statements. He’s body shamed and fat shamed, in particular.

I would dispute that for every Weinstein or Moore there’s an innocent guy getting accused. If any of these accusations are false, they’re extremely rare.
