I think they could do Arrowette as sort of a running B story where it seems she’s going to join Team Arrow but she’s really just trying to escape. They could use Thea in the role Cassie Sandsmark (Wondergirl) played in the Young Justice stories - her superhero team-up best friend who supports her escape from The Life.
Maybe she has appalling hand writing?
The Fake-Feminist-Girl-ing is really gross and makes me think very ill of the self-appointed Arbiters of Feminism who do it.
The thing I hate about stuff like this is that it wastes a lot of resources while accomplishing nothing. Going into space or just trying to go into space gets us science advances. Even the guy who jumped from the top of the atmosphere did science at the same time. But this? It’s a guy walking on a wire between two…
Well, now I’m worried about how he’ll react to your War of the Worlds podcast.
I’ve read other stories where this has happened to rape victims with female cops, and I think that’s as much The Thin Blue Line mindset as anything else — when you’re in an environment where rape victims are seen as entrapping sluts, I can’t imagine you could keep on going or get along if you didn’t agree. We women…
ZING!
Those cops should be charged as accessories before the fact.
His next project is a remake of Selma starring Channing Tatum as Chet, the brave white man who leads MLK across a bridge.
Wait, not even in Room with a View? There is quite a bit of full-frontal male nudity in that!
*deletes several incoherent, expletive-riddled, violence-inciting attempts at commenting on this*
Hype is marketing. This is not hype. This is the writer reporting on some of the audience members’ enthusiastic reaction to the film they actually saw and their opinion of same. You may not agree — others in the audience apparently did not — but that some people were over-the-moon about this movie does not make that…
The Biblical context is that God is sufficient to meet all one’s needs — he rises to whatever occasion; his grace, power, etc., will never be less than what the believer requires.
I love Ta-Nehisi Coates, but I’m SUPER-excited about Brian Stelfreeze working on this! I met him YONKS ago at Dragon*Con and he was the nicest, coolest guy, and I super-duper-looper love his art.
10/10 move, Marvel. Will PreOrder.
I seriously think this guy was behind me in traffic today (not really but he really looked like Derrick). He roared up behind me, tailgated, and then did the classy double flip-off thing. I laughed at him until he went away to tailgate someone else. Lucky I wasn’t driving a Nutella delivery van.
It is very sad that my first response to this was, “Oh, good. Only wounded; not dead.” rather than just horror at the incident happening.
This is what’s wrong with America right here. This. Not Bristol Palin herself, but what she represents — the fact that so many stunningly, proudly pig-ignorant, determinedly undereducated, information-resistant people think they know enough about anything to tell others how they should think and behave.
Bloody Effing Hell, Texas. Stop making Florida look less appalling!
As has been true throughout all of history, religious participation don’t mean shit for a person’s morality.
