Well, so long as you don't let facts stand in the way of your belief that a plot you first encountered in an animated film from the 90s was the first time the plot was used. Or that it's actually that similar to Avatar. Which it isn't.

It's so cute that people always bring up Ferngully in Avatar arguments like it was some amazingly original piece of art. How on earth has the AFI missed out on this paragon of film-making and original storytelling when compiling its best lists?

Y'know, I loved that movie until he came back to life because of TRUE LOVE instead of because there was no goddamn spoon. I have never been so disgusted watching a movie in my life.

Well, the biggest difference is that they're from entirely different species which even in the wild behave in entirely different ways and in no way would be expected to behave like each other.

It has a lot to do with individual cat personalities *and* socialization. My cats are both clingy, needy girls who meet me at the door and follow me around a lot of the time when I'm home talking, and wanting attention and cuddles.
