Do people really not know what guinea pigs look like? I had one that looked almost exactly like this when I was eight.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to that one.

So is "Only Lovers Left Alive," the vampire movie with Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton, not coming out this year?

Jill, you live in Utah. How can you be at a loss about this?

Are you having a stroke? Because you're not making any sense.

tl;dr

Exactly. It kept all the resources focused on him and not on retrieving the tesseract. He set things in motion and then went into full-on distract and tear-down mode.

That's a lot of words to say, "I don't like Black Widow and any plot involving her was clearly just made up to give her screen time." Everything in the movie was clearly made up to give the characters screen time. Since I see you have issues with Whedon and women, I'll just ignore you now.

I don't see how this is any kind of counter argument. You basically just said, "nuh-uh!"

Just me 'n' the Looney Toons!

Loki is a trickster and manipulates people. Magic aside, he'd want to be there to see it all working. Plus he needed the spear back when he was done.

Yes. Yes, I did.

That was a Bugs Bunny joke.

I think Loki needed to be in custody for his plan in the Avengers. He was amping up the stress with his magical powers (spear and magic helmet!) in order to get Banner to Hulk out.

Who knew Michael Dorn was such a giggler!

Yes, I get that for you it was important, but it was not actually a plot hole and it was not actually something I think most viewers needed or wanted to stop the movie for to have Batman's travel plans explained. Your edit of the movie where things that are fairly obvious and having nothing to do with the main plot

If you are operating on the assumption that Batman's Batmany-ness is based on his wealth, then yes. But it is and was always his superhuman inability to give up that was his most important resource.

I don't see how this is a plot hole in any way. There are holes, sure, but this isn't one of them.

I think it's happening already. It isn't even that I dislike her — I think you're right, though, that it's just about her image and her looks (and her death) and not about her talent and so her icon status just feels more and more reductive and sad the longer it lasts.

I was (and remain) a HUGE YJ fan (BRING BACK ARROWETTE!) and I love the YJ animated series. I, in fact, think it is pretty fantastic.
