Actually, yes, this makes more sense to me. If they didn't think anything they did was wrong, that mindset comes from somewhere and boys-will-be-boys behavior has been protected forever. It is a good (if awful) sign that these "boys" are now [starting to be] held accountable whether they get it or not.

The best TV holiday episode by far was the 1st Community holiday episode. It is a work of epic genius. The stop-motion one was cute, but season 1's is possibly the smartest and funniest commentary on the modern multicultural American holiday season ever filmed.
