It’s frustrating. But what can you expect. Did people believe that protests would sway Senators to do the right thing? Protests are only effective when the govt officials have a conscience that feels haunted. Most politicians I’ve seen so far are practically sociopaths. The battle was lost the moment Trump was elected…

I’m sure there are women in your country who need help. Volunteer at a women’s shelter, donate to women’s organizations, etc.

It was never “weighted” against them but with Kennedy on there on a few issues it was liberal enough that it went against them enough consistently that it pissed them off.

FYI, It’s never been weighted ‘against the GOP’ in my lifetime, they have dominated court nominations since Nixon.   Sometimes Dem-controlled Senates can force them to appoint moderate GOPers, like when Bork was dinged in favor of Kennedy
