agree, some posters have cited other anti-heroines. i.e., Lady Mary of Downton is a perfect anti-heroine, she's a complete badass, ruthless and yet even a little self-aware. we see her strength and vulnerability. Rory? not so much. she's just vapid to me. Paris is the anti-heroine here. she's brilliant, fierce and

genius idea to go achingly specific—yes. the new sewer system! the last scene could have been a rejoicing over the move from septic tanks and then an invitation to visit one of Taylor's businesses—"We even have 3 for $1 cabbages in these modern days!"

as a private college prep school, they could hire her with a master's degree in a speciality field, esp if it was another ivy league degree. at a public school, no way would she be hireable without some education cred.

i watch the bar mitzvah scene prob more than any other—-its a genius cover.

lovely perspective.

beautifully written—totally agree with the force of nature observation.

L&D brigade has a creepy edge—-their cameo felt more Clockwork Orange than Wiz of Oz/Steam Punk hijncks, especially when they were circling Rory…i know those actors have fans here, but when i see them i want to punch their smug faces and hide the neighborhood puppies.

Lane calling Rory out is LONG overdue. so many times in seasons 5-7 needed to happen. Rory treating Lane's house like a storage unit and "i can crash whenever i want" while Lane's managing two kids? Rory owes Lane some of the trust fund cash for Steve and Kwan's future. just saying…

lol! please write the next installment. we may actually have the birth of a Hep Alien :)

the dynastic thing was pretty lame—-sort of 1950s Sabrina plot line but no explanation. poor Odette—-stay in Paris and maybe bump into Paul bringing flowers from Peru!

great point and you also hit on a deeper component i wrestled with—Rory was so wrapped in herself that she didn't reflect or mourn Richard's passing the way their relationship had established—they were book buddies, chess pals, had private jokes—-really sweet Grandpa-Granddaughter relationship. he was infinitely

Rory kind of thrives on cheating or whatever the kids are calling it—she emotionally cheated on Dean with Jess, then actually cheated with Dean when he was married, he separates and they date and then she starts crushing on Logan and breaks Dean's heart again (to say nothing of the weird Marty biz)—-enter the revival

thank you! i had hoped it was Bernie Roundbottom—-especially when she flipped it over, not wanting to harsh his editorial memory of holiday poems;)

word. writers conceit. i'm eternally grateful there was a reunion but large segments made my mind wander to the Palladinos doing a little dine and dash.

LOL!! hilarious and completely correct.

i wondered too and am guessing, liability? Seemed like a lot of unprepared hikers inspired by a film with totally unrealistic expectations of the rigors of the west coast version of the Appalachian Trail. No doubt, they were going to have to rescue a few of those first timers…

YES.

let's write it—-coffee's on me ;)

LOL! genius.

LANE LANE LANE!!! with you 1000%. i wanted more Hep Alien and would have gladly sacrificed some (if not all) of the Life and Death Brigade. those guys always seem sleazy and date rapey to me—-never charming and i felt nothing for their Steam Punk/Tango extended scene and the goofy Wizard of Oz goodbyes Rory gave them.
