Clearly a punny headline written by someone who doesn't actually understand vaporizers...since the whole point of a vaporizer is that there is neither smoke nor fire.

I live in Chicago. Several years ago, I was in my car and stopped at a traffic light. This guy pulls up beside me in a red sedan and motions for me to roll down my window. Assuming he wanted directions or something, I did so. Instead I got hit with, "You're stunningly beautiful and I'd be honored if you'd go on a date…
I've decided that Match is essentially committing fraud by failing to let subscribers know if they're looking at the profile of someone who is a subscriber (and, therefore, can read and respond to emails) or a non-subscriber (who can't read and respond to emails). Within 12 hours of my subscription expiring, I had 36…
I ran it through Hacker Factor's Gender Guesser and it made what it calls a "weak estimate" that the writer was female. However, it is programmed to analyze the writing based on American English. It did note that because the difference between genders was weak, it could be thrown off if the writer is European (which,…
Oh, and FlyerTalk has closed it's Coupon Connection forum (that happened several weeks ago), and I'm fairly certain that the buying/selling of lounge passes violated the board's TOS.
What the author doesn't tell you is that most US lounges aren't nearly as glamorous as the picture she paints. I've been in The Wing/The Haven (Cathay Pacific's first class lounge in Hong Kong). Trust me, that lounge makes it worth showing up to the airport a few hours early. American's Admiral's Club at O'Hare? Trust…
Thank you! The Washington Post didn't "come out with" this map, and they do a lousy job acknowledging that it's not new info. Heck, it's based on the 2000 census, so there's probably a much newer version.
I have not thought about Ben Stein in ages, and now you're the second person in two days I've heard mention him. My old company used to work with him from time to time and a co-worker would impress his friends with "I have Ben Stein's phone number," then call his voice mail to prove it. (This was in the pre-cell…
>>if you are from SoCal, you can probably figure out what coffee shop this is<<
Read Curtis Sittenfeld's Prep. Love that book.
They said it was air traffic control...Prince is infamous for being late to concerts. I saw him last summer at an aftershow that was supposed to start at midnight. It actually started at 2am and went to 4ish.
I lived in the same dorm as his daughter during college, so there were a lot of Hal Holbrook/Dixie Carter sightings. During move in, one of my future best friends was in an elevator with him and commented, "You look like Hal Holbrook.." His response, "Yeah, I get that a lot." Another one of my friends was a under the…
My lips are sealed...but you guys are good ;) And just to be clear, these stories come from her years of being a personal assistant, not just her current employer.
My Mom is friends/neighbors with a woman who's a career personal assistant to celebrities and ultra-weathly NYers. Her current boss is arguably one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, and the stories I've heard are ridiculous. Getting called at home in the middle of the night to go to the drug store,…
I think all of us who have ever ridden have known horses who are kind and gentle and patient, just like Cinnamon!
This seems excessively complicated. You could just make it in a French press, which is what I do. Or mix it all together in some container and then pour it through a funnel/coffee filter when it's ready. Both seem far simpler than this "practically" free version.
I think they already are called Pandas. At least, that's what my Asian bear loving friend told me.
Have you confirmed that a scan/fax/copy will be legally binding? In many cases, you'll actually have to sign & return the original. If that's the case, you may have to reply on Fedex, etc. Or consider giving someone else limited power of attorney authorizing them to sign the real estate paperwork on your behalf.
I use a Briggs & Riley Transcend 24" expandable upright or 26" rolling duffel. (Note: Mine are before B&R redesigned the Transcend line.) Frequent fliers love Briggs & Riley for a couple reasons, including their durability and no-questions asked lifetime warranty. They'll fix any damage, any time, regardless of the…
I use BodyMedia Fit Link and CardioTrainer
