This week’s Random Thoughts:

Five plus years of horribly bloody violence and mayhem, but it’s a naked old woman that is just too far for you

It’s funny you say that—my wife made a sarcastic “welp, we haven’t had any nudity yet, time for Melisandre to get naked for REASONS” and I sort of agreed with her.

Except that we’ve seen her without the choker before.

I believe its the necklace she wears. GRRM burns a lot of text describing that stone’s behavior in relation to things that can harm her. My guess is (especailly since we saw her right after she took it off) is the protection’s gone.

The choker. She took off the choker. Don’t ever take off the choker.

Did what it needed to do. We know where everyone is and what they're doing, we got some urgency going, and there was a moment for everyone to talk about tomorrow. (Although if you really have problems seeing an elderly woman naked, you're going to have a hard time later in life.)

I think it tells us something important, though. Melisandre has been doing what she does for a very, very, very long time. So for her to face a crisis of faith now, after all that time presumably having it continue unshaken, is that much more significant.

At least he’s going out like a champ, hooking up with Queen Marge and chilling with Ser Pounce. Even if he dies, he already had a better life than anyone in Westeros.

I realize this thread is a bit old, but, I did this project this weekend and I figured I would share some tips since I would guess this page still gets quite a bit of traffic.
