But you keep it all inside.

I knew it was a farce as soon as I saw that The Kominsky Method won over The Good Place. 🙄 Just... HOW?

That’s an interesting observation, but I think it’s a bit more complicated. I think you see the same mixed attitudes about wealth in ASP’s Gilmore Girls. On the one hand, Rory Gilmore is smart and independent like her mother. On the other hand, she’s also attracted to her grandparents’ world of privilege.  Seeing her…

Why does Three Billboards keep getting roped into these discussions? It’s a film about police brutality, not race—although the two are often connected in real life, they aren’t in the movie. Secondly, it’s a fucked up black comedy where none of the characters are intentionally pure evil or pure good; it ends with the…

Green Book, like Three Billboards and Crash, tries to rebrand racism as an individual flaw white people can overcome rather than as a systemic issue propped up by white people. They’re basically the movies white people watch to why they still talk to their racist relatives.

Likewise, the Kominsky Method is not a good television show.

I thought Darren Criss was excellent, but man you are SPOT ON.  Definitely about two episodes too long.  Crazy disjointed.  And let’s not forget: Penelope Cruz was AWFUL as Donatella.  I mean, laughably bad.

How does ACS: Versace keeping winning stuff? Did the judges actually watch that show? It was middling at best and a huge drop off from ACS: OJ. It’s story telling structure was disjointed and probably about 2 episodes longer than it needed to be. The only thing about it actually worth of an award or nomination was…

Bohemian Rhapsody was not a good movie. A category with that and Black Panther for best picture is a sham that exists solely for ratings and clicks.

Just as the Golden Globes started to matter, they did a nice little one-two with Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody to remind everyone exactly what they’d been watching.

Regarding both of the Best Picture winners I’m inclined to say...really?

Why should we be surprised by her response? She is the democratic party establishment and they’ve never showed true respect for black folks - they’ve never taken our interests seriously. The joke continues to be on us. And then there’s the republican party...those MF’ers!!

She meant what she said, which that she “supports the recognition”. Meaning that she supports the idea that Black Lives Matter is a thing that exists. Then she told us that she doesn’t fuck with Black Lives Matter. Nothing else to see here lol.

And as I mentioned in another post, this is why we NEED unions, transparent and regulated unions, to serve as the counterweight to the powerful that would set up situations that crush working people like this.  But again, transparent and regulated so that they don’t just go to bed with the powerful and work against…

It’s many billions of $$$ not millions.

This seems like it was commissioned for the next season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Which isn't a complaint, mind you.

Ahem...

Oh shit it’s that sailor moon flute woman. I’m down.

So, is this a Jacob’s Ladder scenario?

There have been no receipts to show him apologizing before, but okay.Â
