I re-watched the movie before the new series started and I'm now in the process of re-watching the original run. I'm into the second half of season two now and it's a bit of a slog.

Original Dougie was quite a bit chunkier than Cooper, though. The hot wife/fat husband combo kind of fits.
I love Jacoby's new career as a crazed conspiracy nut. I hope his next video is just him excitedly explaining the plot of Twin Peaks. "Folks, there are OWLS in these woods and they are NOT what they SEEM. There's FBI doppleganger clones in jail in South Dakota. A man in Las Vegas just won 30 jackpots in a row and he…
I thought the same about Jim Belushi! Somehow, I pretty much instanly stopped thinking "Haha, that's Jim Belushi" and started thinking "wow…he's actually pretty intimidating."
I found this to be probably the weakest episode so far, but still interesting. The episode seemed a *little* preachy, but really, a show about gods should get preachy from time to time, I think.
The scene in the bathtub, after the cops burst in and Sweeney yells "She's not dead!" in a panic just had me roaring. Of course she's dead, and she's not going to argue with the cops about it now, Sweeney!
As soon as I heard "Philip Jeffries" I got really excited for the potential to see Bowie. I'm assume the name would have been on that long cast list they released for the show last year, though.
I appreciate that. It was a couple years ago so it's not a "fresh wound". But, it definitely informs my feelings when I hear about others dealing with suicide or suicidal feelings.
I've said a lot of critical things about Snyder's films and I honestly wasn't looking forward to Justice League after DC and Snyder's track record.
All three episodes so far have surpassed my expectations, especially visually. This show looks amazing and really shows that you can do this kind of fantasy well if you lean into the un-reality of it all. So many fantasy comic/book adaptations look flat and boring. This looks just…amazing to me.
When I saw Dylan, it was at an outdoor field and I was a kid. I remember him sounding pretty ok. I don't think Dylan is supposed to (or has ever tried to) sound "great".
Oh, I should have specified. My first show actually WAS Bob Dylan doing a hardcore show in the basement of a Methodist Church.
This is anecdotal, sure, but I've been signing up for things on the internet for close to 20 years and I don't think I've ever used "What was your first concert?" as a security question.
Glorification of white supremacy is a part of American history, though. It's important we as a nation don't forget that.
I'm not a huge Tim Burton fan, but I recently watched Big Fish from 2003 and thought it was really good.
Hmm, I do enjoy the comments on the feature. It just seems like a shame. The "What's On Tonight" feature was one of my favorite parts of the site.
Hey, so I almost never comment. But, what the heck happened to this feature? The "What's On Tonight" bit is one of my favorite regular features on the AV Club website and in the last several weeks, there's almost no point to it. With all the reviewers reviewing TV shows, can there not be some commentary on more than…
I'm not OP, but that was a hilarious anecdote from Tobolowsky. Thanks!
I don't have a lot to say about Bad Boys, but I love this column. I've been trying to watch and re-watch more old movies this year and these entries have given me an endless supply of action and proto-action to wade through.
