At the end of that movie I said out loud to the people I was with, “Well. That was one black ass movie. I love it. Same time next Tuesday?”

Just got home from the preview. It was Black Excellence at its finest. I’m going back on Sunday. Just blackity-blackity-black-black-black. Wakanda Forever!
You’re a genius. I’ll see it this weekend.
Another note: the author mentions a 200 guest count. Of course that wedding will be expensive - feeding & providing alcohol for 200 people is very expensive, no matter the context!
Also another item that chops off prices.. is be willing to adjust your thinking.
If that’s the case, I hope she keeps the gag going. Everytime he wins a game, the camera cuts to her picking up her shit and storming off. I hope, years from now, he makes it to the NFL and she storms off during the Superbowl.
People of all shades will take the flimsiest of opportunities to shit on a Black woman. *shrug*
As for Richard hooking up with Brando — she says, “It was the ‘70s! Drugs were still good, especially quaaludes. If you did enough cocaine, you’d f*** a radiator and send it flowers in the morning.”
Quincy Jones is almost fifty years older than Ivanka is. He’s like 15 years older than her father. That’s an age difference I couldn’t get with.
Just didn’t see it coming, looked for the jab and got caught in the body.
Grown up Tess the Social worker took me all the way out. I just knew that little boy was going home with the Pearsons. He was like a young Randall.
The show is good, but it can get heavy. It will never be a truly binge-able show. Anyone who can plough through a whole season in a couple of days is a champ... and a masochist.
Seriously never been more impressed with Mandy. That scene - or rather who sequence - was perfect.
That episode deaded me. I am actually deceased. This is a ghost typing.
As my therapist says, they’re teens...they’re just doing their job.
I have a daughter. There have been a lot of changes in her life in the past few years. She went from being the only child of two single people to being one of five children with one stepparent and a soon-to-be second stepparent. She’s handled those changes as well as any child can but there are moments.
They were also 17.
Now that this is done, I wonder if the show can finally get back to adding some depth to the “Other” Big 3. In the first season, Toby actually had real flaws that the show explored a bit. In season 2, he’s been perfectly sweet, charming and always been able to make the right move.
This show continues to take my emotions and tap dance all over them.
And hopefully JC Chavez will be laughing loudly at that exact moment.
