Well now I must know the dirty last name.

That is an excellent point. But, they are supposed to be over the top and ridiculous anyway. I miss the 30 Rock live show!
Oy. Carrie Underwood. She is fantastic at what she does, and she does not do live musical theater! Whoever directed her to belt "Favorite Things" has a problem (and I fully believe a lot of the choices were not hers, because that's how it goes some times). Nothing in this show needs to be belted.
ahahahahahhahahahhaha. breath. ahahahahahhahaahhah. Oh, Passions!
This is the kind of makeover show I can get behind!
It's horrendous. Her father died for gods sake. Let it be.
That song is amazing! Thank you for bringing it to my life!! Also, Christina's voice is SO gorgeous stripped down like that. Jeez.
Every time I look for jobs to submit myself to as an actor (as in, not things that agents submit you to, so student & low budget projects), I'm so disheartened by how many require nudity, underwear, or "simulated sex". And we know that as a black woman, Michelle has had a hard time convincing white America to like her.
I think it would blow my mind to learn that someone I know in real life is a commenter I recognize on Jezebel. I'm usually surprised when my friends even reference Jez! This is silly, I know, but I always think of it as "my thing". Ha!
This post is the greatest ever for TWO reasons:
I love everything about Archie Panjabi. She is amazing on The Good Wife.
I think this was a little before my time, and I've only ever heard of it through the many discussions here on Jez, but am so intrigued! Mostly by the fact that anyone would think it's a good idea to make a movie out of it...
Anecdotally, I can confirm that belief.
I don't like her performance on Mom, but that probably has more to do with the style of the show than her...
I agree! I get that the style of writing may not be appealing to everyone, but I personally thought it was funny, and a really interesting story/experience.
You do not have to have money to get one outfit that's interview appropriate. You can get a great suit as a woman for $150, or way less, or find very solid options at places like Goodwill. And alteration is not nearly as expensive as people think. A well fitting suit (if you're interviewing or plan to work somewhere…
