@KillerBee: Custom ROMs are pretty nice to get those new features. I don't like waiting and Gingerbread is great on my Desire, just no camcorder yet. (like I ever use it)
@Iain Cheyne: Ehm one question: why not?
I had a couple annoyances on my Desire, and all got fixed by rooting. These were my annoyances:
This is probably made to fit in better with gingerbread
@siwex80: They don't have to bring VLC for Android to the users through the Market. They can just put the .apk on their website. Thats one of the great things of Android, no need to release anything through the Market, because you can install non market apps by checking one checkbox.
When they say brighter do they mean:
@RabidTurtl: One of the newer higher end ATI cards for instance.
@drongch: I would say the better reason is you would be able to work on your pc. PENTIUM D?!?!?!?!
I knew some manufacturers were doing this (LG, HTC, BlackBerry), but I never thought Apple would give up their magical 30 pin charger.
@Dragonfang18: You mean the aperture science intelligence incinerator?
@Daniel Brierton: For me it's that you can change the amount of rows and columns on the home screens. And I hope when my phone comes back from repairs that the full rewrite is out.
As far as I know, you can just select the form entry when you see it in the suggestion list and press delete to delete it from the form history.
I block ads on my pc and I have android and rooted it so I can block ads on my phones apps as well. For me that's one of the great things about android.
@CamJN: Essentially, what most people like about Macs is that it has a lot of eyecandy and that some things are more intuitive, like uninstalling a program by dragging it to the bin.
@Jackstick: ctrl+shift+escape brings you right to task manager instead of the multiple options screen that you get with ctrl+alt+del. I know it's not the same, but it's the closest combination I know
@letsdropthehammer: Exactly, you don't have to quit an app to change your settings.
@Winston Smith: jails suck much less in the Netherlands than in the US
@Arggh! there goes a...snake a snake!: I've never heard of it, but I'm more of a smartphone and pc person than a TV person. And I live in the netherlands, maybe that helps too.
@PossibleCabbage: I was like. Hooray, a good tv that I can afford... oh wait
