No, that’s a great line. What’s terrible is the large number of “fans” who don’t recognize camp.

Why does every thread about Star Wars attract a mob of dimwits pissing all over George Lucas the same way horseshit attracts flies?

Mediocre, like all other Ron Howard movies.

They were trying to save the fighters for space battles, not get them shot down strafing ground troops.

Probably to recover things that might fall in fissures in the glaciers, or off cliffs.

Since big productions are usually insured for things like the star or director being unable to finish the movie, it’s entirely possible that the re-shoots are being paid for as part of a settlement with whoever underwrote the movie.

It’s like comparing the M2 medium tank from WW2 to the M60 tank of the 1960s-70s. The M2 had eight weapons (the 37mm main gun and seven .30 caliber machineguns) while the M60 only had three -but those three were a 105mm main gun, a .50 caliber machinegun and a .30 cal just for good measure.

Apparently, fast-moving objects can’t penetrate deflector shields, like the shells and blasters in The Phantom Menace, but slow ones (walkers, battle droids) can. You could try flying bombers in slowly enough to get through the shield, but that makes them easy targets for ground fire and slow-flying bombers are such a

This is a more accurate ranking of Star Wars movies:

Disney Star Wars is a bad cover band riding the coattails of the real artist who made it great. In other words, the Asia with John Payne of Star Wars.

You sure are smug for such a stupid person.

Apparently, you don’t know what the word “objectively” means.

Back in the late 1970s, the media and other bourgeois types LOVED disco music. To them it wasn’t just another fad in music. It had got to the point where every commercial jingle, as well as bumper music for sports and news HAD to be disco. Pop radio stations went to all-disco formats. It had got to the point where non-

Your analogy assumes that The Last Jedi is somehow comparable to The Empire Strikes Back when in fact TLJ was such a total abortion that I started thinking the “right-to-life” crowd has a point.

You’re awfully smug for someone so fucking stupid.

Disney’s hired hacks and their PR flunkies talk about CGI the way fundies and feminists talk about porn: They bitch about it constantly, but they use it more than anyone else.

It reminded me of the fight scenes in Black Belt Jones, where the bad guys wait in line patiently for their turn to get their asses kicked -only Black Belt Jones was played for laughs.
