Yea, I feel the same way about the Hound, too. That comment recalls the scene between him and Sansa as she looks below the bridge (at the end of season one). The Hound even has a pet name for her, "little bird."

He's such a chameleon, and frustratingly underrated! His resume has a full spectrum of different characters: Julia Child's loving husband, a murder rapist in "Lovely Bones," and now Caesar Flickerman. Amazing! He should definitely try for more sci fi/fantasy roles.

I agree with your observation on the limited success of showrunners. I wonder if it will be the same with Tim Kring, with Heroes ending so disastrously. Interestingly, Fox picked up Kring's new show Touch (the plot seems like Heroes 2.0 mixed with 24 since Kiefer Sutherland is the lead).
