if this really does happen, this could really be a coup for Apple - having the two largest wireless providers on board. I know several VZ folks who can't wait to get the iphone, but are simply not willing to get on AT&T.

@Mig255: but how would that explain it affecting the previous gen iphones which were fine before the update? and wouldn't that mean that EVERY iphone4 would have the issue, not just some of them?

Does anyone have an explanation as to why this phenomenon is also occuring on the 3GSs after the iOS4 update? Seems to me that it can't just be a hardware issue if: 1) not every iphone4 has this problem (mine does not, thankfully), and 2) this issue started appearing in 3GSs as well after the software update.

@Trai_Dep: well said. that's the one thing that keeps me away from the multitude of android phones out there. I know you can do much more with them, but the execution sucks. the software binds all the specs together and that's where I feel that Android and others fail and will always play catch up to Apple. Definitely iPhone 4 for me! I'm feeling happy that I didn't jump on the Evo. I feel like the Evo is all brawn (due to all the specs, etc), while the iPhone is the brain (super polished UI and tight integration with everything... and it just works!).

@RT100: I agree on grooveshark. I think it's a pretty messy interface. plus it's not sure what they actually have and don't have available for streaming.
